Get to know the dedicated members of the Executive Board at the Doula Association of Edmonton. Each member brings a unique set of skills and experiences to drive our association forward.

Karena Dang
Chair
The Chair oversees the Doula Association of Edmonton's executive team, chairs meetings, prepares agendas, and liaises with members and the community. They do not vote unless needed to break a tie and ensure the handbook remains up to date.

Vacant Position
Assistant Chair
The Assistant Chair supports the Chair in their duties, fills in when needed, and assists in virtual meeting administration. They also coordinate guest speakers, continuing education events, and send email updates to members.

Karmen Weiss
Administrative Support, Referral & Social Media Coordinator, Webmaster
This role manages meeting minutes, oversees executive nominations and elections, and handles DAE email correspondence. They also coordinate the low-cost doula referral program.

Dajana Allerie
Treasurer
The Treasurer manages DAE’s financial records, including membership fees, reimbursements, and bank accounts. They provide financial reports, create annual budgets, and ensure smooth financial operations.

Michelle Fraser
Membership Coordinator
The Membership Coordinator maintains the member database, tracks engagement points, and ensures payments are up to date. They welcome new members with essential information and oversee meeting attendance records.

Asha Thomas
Public Relations Coordinator
This role promotes DAE within the community, coordinates events, manages public outreach efforts, and organizes promotional materials. They also liaise with local doula training organizations and media.
